Product design for an AI hiring platform, for candidates and for companies
2023 to 2025

About the project
A hiring tool that shows a company the right people before the first message
The challenge
JobCannon is a UK and Ukrainian startup that uses AI to match software developers with companies. Recruiters were losing days to sourcing and to candidates who went quiet, and developers were tired of applying into silence. The product had to work for both sides: a profile a developer fills in once, and a dashboard where a company posts a vacancy and gets a short list it can act on.

What hiring platforms usually get wrong
Most of them hand a recruiter a long list of CVs and a search box. The recruiter still has to read every profile to find out who fits, and the candidate never hears back.

The approach
I designed both sides of the product and the pages that sell it. A company creates a vacancy by pasting a link, uploading a document, picking a template or typing it in, and sees a preview of the ideal candidate before it publishes. Candidates arrive with a match score, a salary range, languages and work history on one screen, and contact details unlock one candidate at a time from a prepaid balance. Pricing, onboarding, empty states and a support widget sit on the same dark component library.

Where it stands
Designed across three versions of a product that kept growing
I worked on JobCannon from the first version to the third, on the candidate side, the company side and the landing pages. In January 2024 the startup raised $500,000 in a pre-seed round, and in May 2024 it released JobCannon 2.0.
